Valentine’s Day is rapidly approaching. If you have not already made plans, you are in luck! Fort Wayne has a number of romantic and quirky Valentine’s options.
From ballet and theater to more low-brow options like roller derby and pub crawling, Fort Wayne has something for everyone’s tastes.
If you are still looking for something to do for Valentine’s Day, consider the following options.
See the Ballet
Are you and your significant other ballet fans? The Fort Wayne Ballet will present a special Valentine’s Day performance on February 10 and 11 at the Auer Center.
The event is called “Love Notes” and is part of the Fort Wayne Ballet’s ArtsLab Series. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $50 for a VIP table. The VIP tables for two include champagne, roses, chocolates and premium seating.
The performances are on February 10 at 7:30 p.m. and on February 11 at 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Check out a Murder Mystery
If you like to throw a little mystery in with your romance, check out Science Central’s adults-only murder mystery. This year’s event is called “My Cold-Hearted Valentine: Season III.”
Participants mingle and roam around the science center, interviewing suspects and examining the evidence. Deluxe tickets are sold out but regular admission is still available! Tickets may be purchased online or, if available, at the door.
The event goes from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, February 10. Tickets are $25 for individuals and $35 for couples. You must be 21 or older to attend. There will be food and drinks available for purchase.
Go to the Roller Derby
Do you enjoy watching roller derby? The Fort Wayne Derby Girls will face off against the Gem City Roller Girls of Dayton in a doubleheader on February 11 from 5 to 9:30 p.m.
The bouts will take place at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on Parnell Avenue. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for kids, senior citizens and military.
Have a Romantic Dinner
A romantic Valentine’s Day dinner is a classic for a reason. It gives you a chance to go to your favorite restaurant or choose a new place to explore and just enjoy good food, wine and conversation.
You can make reservations ahead of time or head downtown to find a place that isn’t too crowded. There are hundreds of great restaurants in Fort Wayne, so you surely will be able to find a great spot ahead of time or at the spur of the moment.
